I remember when I just started out my Christian journey. It was the toughest thing ever for me.
I the basic knowledge of who God was, at least I thought I did. I only knew what our teens teacher had taught us, "Read your bible, pray every day!" At least that was the most basic thing that I could remember thus far.
My walk with God remained mundane up until 2022 - The year I became the teens president and had my basic foundation teachers leave the Church for greater things ahead. I had little to no knowledge of what to do other than the words that they had told me, "Ask God!"
You could imagine my surprise when I heard those words. Ask who? I could barely ask a teacher a question in class and now you want me to ask who? I don't even hear him to begin with. But that was it... That was the answer I had been given when I needed help, and that was just what I had done.
Not long after, I came in contact with social media Christian influencers and content creators in the likes of Ezinne Zara, Pastor Mildred and Kinsley Okonkwo, and many other foreign content creators. Let's just say that seeing people, young people who loved God and were not ashamed of it was the most inspiring thing to me.
Ezinne Zara had a long-lasting effect on my growth, and I tried to mimic most of what she had done and tried to relate my walk with God to hers. I learnt a lot from listening to all of these people and from studying the word of God. Let's not forget the most important of them all, the Holy Spirit.
All that I did, all of my growth was seen by the help of the Holy Spirit who had led me to these persons and who had taught me a lot through the word.
One basic instruction the Holy Spirit had given me was to start journaling - something that I had seen Ezinne do and had taken it to a whole other level when I started a 30 day J.E.S.U.S Experience on journaling and in those moments, I had studied, prayed, praised, and journaled. For me, it was the absolute best experience. Journaling became my way of communicating with God, it still is.
What am I trying to say?
All that I am today and will be tomorrow was possible because there were men and women who chose to dedicate their lives to God, love up on Him, and share their love with others and I was part of those others.
My life today is nothing without the help of the Lord and I'm not ashamed to say it. From my skills to my gifts, to my current state of mind, it was improved by the word and the people who the Lord has used to be a blessing to my life.
If these people, no matter how small could share their stories and touch my life, why can't or shouldn't I do the same?
You are where you are because someone chose to be dedicated, someone chose to make sacrifices that inspired you and while I'm being optimistic, let me be realistic as well. Some of the setbacks we've experienced in life has also been because of the effect or experiences we've had with others but here's the turning point!
What are you going to do about it?
How are you going to use these experiences to influence others? Is it going to be negative or positive. Joyce Meyer is my literal go-to for a life that has made a difference. You can check out her story if you don't know it.
What impact will you make with your life?
P.S. Not the regular writeup!
Sincerely,
Tee😊
