In the book of Genesis, we get to see how the world really began and what brought about man's creation on earth.
It's a thrilling experience...
Knowing that we were made in God's image and likeness and also given the freewill to choose how we want to live our life on earth.
Let's go back to the very beginning though.
Something about the creation of man struck me;
1. Man was given authority over all of creation.
God left all that had to do with earth in the hands of man. From the naming of animals, to the caretaking of the earth. He was given the total authority and then to report each of his doings to God.
That was part of the reason why God always visited the garden.
To get feedback and constantly check on how many was doing.
We have dominion here on earth and we are everyday to 'report' tell God how we dominated in each day.
2. Man was told to do all things but one.
Man had the ability to do and take all things in the garden of Eden.
Man's choices affected his dominion on earth.
God gave him dominion over everything but one.
The tree of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil was one that God had strictly put off limits for man, but disobedience set in and it pushed man to his downfall.
One thing I noticed was that aside from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, there was also the tree of life in that same garden and man was absolutely free to eat of it but he did not.
In a situation where there is a command from God to adhere a thing, there will also be blessings attached.
Obedience and patience towards what God has set for us brings about these blessings.
Working in obedience brings blessings. The reverse is the case in situations where man does not obey the things of God.
Know this, and know peace.
God loves you 😌
