This has to be the most trying moment of my life.
1 John 5:4 – For every child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory.
Have you ever experienced fear so much that you could cut it with a knife?
Over the course of this year, I have felt anxiety that would be considered toxic for anyone. On most days, it felt deafening, and all I wanted to do was cry. On other days, I'd pull myself together and try to fix the pieces.
I had to ask myself, "Why?"
I wasn't like this before!
I had moments where I was scared, but never anything like this. I could feel myself drowning in self-pity when I knew that I could be courageous and take a step further, but I remained here... in this dark place.
The moments ahead of me were ones where I had to make real choices for my life, and I was afraid of making the wrong choices and of remaining small. I didn't want to miss out on the good things of life and make a mistake that was costly for me, and so I chose not to do anything.
Galatians 5:17b – These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict.
I thought it'd be easy once I followed God's lead, but that's not always the case.
God will lead you, but he won't remove you from this world's troubles. These incidents are the moments that build your strength of character and trust in God. This includes your choices.
The choice is always mine to make. Whether to go or stay... whether to give or take, to hold on or to let go. In the end, it is for our own good when we follow God's patterns.
God gives us instructions (commandments), and we are either to obey or disobey.
At the end of the day, it's our choice.
But we remember that the world is also constantly fighting for us to make the wrong choices. And the Kingdom of God is also in this battle as well. The whole realm waits in silence to see which path you would pick.
This is what differentiates someone who is led by God from someone who is not. Even our mistakes work together for our good.
Romans 8:28 – And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
That's mercy right there... Mercy from God towards his children.
This does not mean that there wouldn't be a law of cause and effect. There is always a result for your actions, and so, always strive to do good.
Love, care, be kind, be generous, and always remember that you are loved.
This switched up really quickly, but this is more an answer to myself than to anyone else.
Sincerely,
Tee😌
